The Shopify Order Total Sync feature simplifies this by automating the entire process. It keeps Salesforce Shopify records perfectly aligned with Shopify orders, eliminating manual corrections and reducing financial discrepancies.
In this blog, we’ll walk you through how to fetch Shopify Order Total data and sync it from Shopify to Salesforce, ensuring a smooth, consistent, and error-free data flow.

Step 1: First make sure ‘Sync Made Easy’ is installed and configured. If not, follow the User guide.
After this install and configure the extension app ‘Sync Made Easy Pro’ from AppExchange. Ensure that the Shopify Order Total Sync Toggle button listed below is enabled from the SME Pro feature page.
This feature will works only when Order and Opportunity toggle buttons were enabled from SME settings Object setup page.
Now enable Shopify Order Total Sync from “SME Pro feature“ page.
Step 2 – Go to your Shopify Store and create a new order by selecting the product and customer.
Step 3 – Tax is added automatically. You can optionally include shipping and discounts, then click “Collect Payment” and click “Mark as Paid”.
Step 4 – Confirm the order by clicking “Create Order”.
Step 5 – Copy the Shopify Id from the Shopify Store URL.
Step 6 – Go to salesforce, and search the order with the help of Shopify ID.
Step 7 – Confirm that the order total in salesforce matches the order total in Shopify. Instead of creating separate related records, the Order Total Sync feature consolidates all information under Order Products.
Step 8 – Click view all to thoroughly check and verify all amounts, ensuring they match the details in Shopify.
Step 9 – To test the refund functionality, create a refund for the same order in Shopify.
Step 10 – Select the quantity to be refunded, enter the reason for the refund, and input refund amount. Click “Refund”.
Step 11 – After processing the refund, a refund will be created for the order. Monitor the total amount to ensure it is updated accurately.
Step 12 – In Salesforce, refund will appear under order product, and total amount will be adjusted to match the updated amount in Shopify.
So this is the overall functionality of the Shopify Order Total Sync feature.
